I don’t need to remind you what happened in 2020, but my story starts there. Distant from friends and family, and increased time on my hands I turned to play to find that connection. The form was video games & streaming. As time passed and daddly responsibilities grew the time spent documenting play dwindled, but my love for it never did. In 2022 I rediscovered play through the form of board games. I loved it so much that I’ve been enjoying it weekly with mates, showing them a new game here and there. Not knowing what games to try next, my brain imagined games I wanted to play, so I turned them into reality for no reason but to play them with my friends. In August 2023 I begun working on the early ideas of What Can I Play purely to introduce play to my kids with maybe the idea of sharing a list somewhere. In September the ideas kept coming in and the content creator in me wanted to turn this idea into more then just a list. However responsibilities and time were not on my side, so it remained a small idea. Until October 2023 where I was made redundant and saw this as a sign to go for it. This site was made in November 2023. What comes next I don’t know, but Play will be involved.
